4. RAF Matters:

[Top]

1. Wing Commander Snell, reported that it was his understanding that the ditched area near to C side gate, was not RAF responsibility, Chairman Petch questioned this. The hedgerow was been cut back as requested.
2. NAAFI and Pintail Court plans- on going, no change from previous meetings.
3. Military and other (Waste) vehicles will continue to use the Bank road, there is currently no weight restrictions.

6. Police Matters:

Main target areas for the next 3 months;
a) Safety Camera partnership - speeding through The Folly
b) Public Crime reassurance - meeting in The Hive on 28th January
c) Aeropark - antisocial behaviour.
The Clerk asked the Local Policing team to include Bradenstoke Play area to their graffiti cleaning operation.


7. Matters Arising from Previous Meeting:

1. Bradenstoke solar lights have been reported to be out of sequence. Cllr J Webb to contact with Clarence.
2. Cllr T Webb will look into Deeds from the sale of land on Calne Road, to establish ditch ownership
3. Cllr J Webb to look at the Parish Improvement grants
4. Byelaw paperwork has now been returned and authority sealed.
5. Bradenstoke fingers posts have been installed.
6. Clerk has requested of NWDC that the Pintail Court area registered as a playing field, as it has been an open space for 20+ years. This has been passed to their Regeneration Officer.
7. Permission to maintain some of the trees on Lyneham Green that have TPOs has been received.
8. Tree Preservation Orders - Aeropark vicinity have been issued.


8. Public Toilets:

Transfer documentation had been received from NWDC, and forwarded to the Land Registry for change of details. The funding element is currently being processed by NWDC.

10. Highway Matters and Transport:

a) Bus Shelters (Slessor Road, Preston Lane, Bradenstoke)  - No issues
b) Seats - No issues
c) Maintenance Issues in Pound Close (including Ditch) - Dist Cllr Bucknell and Clerk has a site meeting in December to discuss solution. Works programmed for January subject to weather conditions, possible need to contact house holders in Pound Close and Webbs Court when works completed to request that garden refuse not dumped there.
d) Other highway and Transport matters - No issues
e) Hedging and Ditching - Hedgerow at Church Park, 3 quotes to be requested, and possibility to split costs 50% with Birchills of Church Park.


11. Play Area & Open Spaces:

A) Lyneham Green - No issues
B) Play Area Updates inc. Safety Inspections (Pound Close - Cllr Lightowler, Bradenstoke - Cllr Palmer, Aeropark - Cllr Ball)
Pound Close in need of updating, to look into costs for new seats and safety bolts for the swings. Planned rolling maintenance of old equipment to be looked at
Aeropark - Balance beam still not replaced by Defence Estates - Lisa Mitchell to follow up.
Bradenstoke - Wooden climbing frame possibility affected by water running from airfield.


12. Allotments:

There are 12  people on the waiting list. No update was available on the drainage at the Allotments, as this is being managed by Cllr Bullock.

Cllr Jardine - request for Parish Clerk to clear path outside Church Farm Mews - Clerk to contact
Cllr Turner - 30 signs not fully visible from road
Cllr Potter - Lyneham sign not fully visible from road on way into village from Bradenstoke
Cllr Bunney - S Skull has asked what is happening to bench in flower meadow, Clerk to make contact.
