The William 'Doc' Couch Trust is now
inviting bids for funding to help Children and
Young People across Wiltshire (excluding the
Swindon Borough area)
The William 'Doc' Couch Trust was established
by Doreen Affleck, a former Head Teacher of Sutton Benger
School, in memory of her father - William Couch. Mr Couch
was a chemist in Market Place Chippenham for 60
years until his death in 1966. He was a well known character
in the Town and was known locally as 'The Doc'
Bids are now invited for funding from this
year's Annual Awards to be made to the Trustees.
The overall purpose of the Trust is to provide
assistance for those in need and/or to disabled children
and young people under 18 years of age.
Although all applications will be considered
those which meet the follwing criteria are particularly welcome:
Requests from individuals, schools or community
groups to provide funding for specialist equipment, training,
projects or activities that will support children and young
people , agaed under 18 years, with disabilities or who have
a genuine need through hardship.
