Did you know that ALL children are entitled
to a Nursery
Education Grant, which is your child’s access to
free, part-time, good quality early years education before
they reach compulsory school age. This equates to five sessions
per week for thirty three weeks a year in term time. A session
is usually at least two-and-a-half hours long. Children are
eligible for funding for the term following their third birthday.
The pre-school or nursery that you choose should organise
all the paperwork for you and apply for the grant on your
behalf. This means that it’s as easy as finding a good
pre-school and registering your child for the term in which
they become eligible.
A warm and friendly welcome
is a good place to start when choosing your pre-school
and this is exactly what you will get at Lyneham Village
Independent Pre-school, located next to Lyneham Junior
School in Preston Lane.
Established in 1979, they are a thriving pre-school
that pride themselves on the quality of care and education
that they provide. Whilst working within the framework
of OFSTED’s Foundation Stage they have continually
received excellent reports on all six early learning
goals.
They adopt an open door policy and welcome mums, dads,
grandparents and carers to share their own skills and
time. Their qualified and experienced staff members
work closely with parents and carers and encourage participation
as much as possible to ensure the emotional and educational
welfare of your child.
This not only gives parents and carers the opportunity
to take an active role in the education of their children
but ensures peace of mind witnessing that your child
is happy and well cared for in a safe and stimulating
environment. |

Every parent or guardian has a share in the decision making
and a committee of parents is elected at the Annual General
Meeting to administer and be responsible for the policy and
running of the pre-school.
They have a high ratio of adults to children ensuring individual
care and attention to your child. Their aim is to introduce
children from the age of 2 years 10 months to basic pre-school
activities which serve as a good foundation for learning and
introduction for entering mainstream school. Through the use
of play in their well equipped classrooms all children are
given the widest range of activities to ensure learning is
fun and stimulating.
It is important to choose a childcare provider whom you and
your family have confidence in. A place where your little
one can thrive and you can be sure they are receiving the
best possible start. Most pre-schools offer children the thrill
of squidging paint between their toes to make a fun picture,
but with Lyneham Village Independent Pre-school YOU can have
a go as well. So that it isn’t just a case of blind
faith. You have a say, you can decide and you can witness
how your child is educated. It makes all the difference.
