Standing up for North Wiltshire in Westminster
James was first elected to Parliament in 1997 since when
he has become recognised as one of Parliament's most active
and energetic members.
James says that working hard on behalf of local people is
the best part of being an MP He has been active all over the
constituency - standing up for local services such as the
Malmesbury Maternity Unit, fighting the closure of RAF Lyneham,
supporting the re-opening of Corsham Station and campaigning
to keep local post offices open.
"Local is important and I'll continue to support constituents
in their struggle to maintain the character of their communities"
says James.
"North Wiltshire is a happy blend of town and country
and I will fight to maintain the correct balance. In particular,
I will continue to resist the westward growth of Swindon that
threatens to engulf our North Wiltshire villages." |
