Candidates Messages:

Allison Bucknell - Conservative Party

"Thank you to all those who voted me in again as a North Wiltshire District Council elected member for Lyneham. I shall endeavour to serve the community as best I can for the next four years. It was an interesting election, with no real winners or losers, and it remains to be seen what unfolds.

Whatever happens, the future of Lyneham and its environs is paramount, and I shall be keeping my eye on the proceedings and doing what I can to ensure the vitality of the community."

Dennis Constable

Dennis Constable - Liberal Democrats

"Thank you to everyone who supported me in the recent NWDC Elections held on the 1st May 2003. Having been elected I will do my best to support all issues affecting Lyneham Ward.

I would also like to take this opportunity to briefly outline the organisation of NWDC.
The District covers around 300 square miles and has a population of 125370 people; it is divided into 5 District Areas:

  • No 1. Malmesbury

  • No 2. Cricklade and Wootton Bassett *

  • No 3. Chippenham

  • No 4. Corsham

  • No 5. Calne

These 5 District Areas are further split into 38 Wards, represented by 53 Councillors. The Lyneham Ward, which I now jointly represent, comprises of Lyneham, Bradenstoke, Tockenham, Clyffe Pypard and Bushton and is part of District Area Number 2.

The Formed Council will now run for a period of 4 years and during this time I intend to regularly communicate information on NWDC matters via this website and the Bradenstoke Bugle. Thank you once again for your support."
