Unitary Councillor;
A new way of working with local people - Area Boards - has been set up. These will not be the same as the old area committees. Representatives from many local partners, i.e. Parish Councils, Primary Care Trust, Police, Housing Associations and Community Area Partnerships will be working together on local community priorities.

Following the Wiltshire Council elections on the 4th June 2009 Councillor Allison Bucknell was elected as the new councillor to Wiltshire Council for Lyneham Division.

Cllr Toby Sturgis who previously held the responsiblity as area County Councillor under the former Wiltshire County Council will be still responsible for dealing with issues affecting our county. He has been elected to serve the Brinkworth Division. He also has responsibilities in the Full Council, Cabinet member and Northern Area Planning Committee. Your local Parish Council will remain very much as it is for the time being, the next date for Parish Elections will be 2013.
