Area 2 Community Award Scheme 2005/2006

North Wiltshire District Council Area Committee, which Lyneham is part of, invite local community and voluntary groups, Town and Parish Council's to apply for funding towards community projects.

Cllr Allison Bucknell, Area 2 Committee Chairperson and Lyneham Ward Councillor, has advised that there is £15,117 left in the capital budget and £9,519 in the revenue pot.

Allison has said "On the principle of if you don't use it you lose it, I am concerned that we have hardly dipped into the revenue budget at all."

She continues, "It seems surprising that all our the community groups are all well-equipped and not needing new pieces of equipment or have no plans for future activities. (No match funding necessary provided it is under £500)".

The closing date for applications for the third and final round is Friday, 30th December 2005?
