normally nominates for all other Housing Associations in the
area covering up to Wootton Bassett. Swindon Borough Council
then follows on towards Swindon for local Housing. |

Westlea Housing Association operate a priority
system now adopted by nearly all housing associations, which
operates as follows:
- EMERGENCY REPAIRS
- within 24 hours
- URGENT REPAIRS
- within 7 calendar days
- ROUTINE REPAIRS
- within 1 month

EMERGENCY REPAIRS
- Any problem that presents a direct
threat to the safety of tenants, or the general public.
eg slipped roof tile overhanging path, unstable wall
adjacent to footpath etc
- Repairs that are essential to ensure
a property is secure. eg an external door, or window
that cannot be secured
- Severe water leaks from internal
pipework, external water supply mains, or through
roofs.
- No heat, or hot water (appliance
failure or non operational taps)
- Non functioning toilet blocked,
or not flushing (if only toilet in property).
- Substantial loss of electrical
power (not just one socket, or light fitting, except
electric shower where no bath is fitted)
- Blocked drain to whole property,
sink, bath or shower

URGENT REPAIRS
- Broken/non operational electrical
socket or light fitting
- Faulty toilet flush
- General plumbing repairs (dripping
taps, replacement toilet seats, individual radiators
not working, minor leaks to pipes and wastes, blocked
gutters and downpipes etc)
- Garage/shed doors not locking/stuck
- Slipped roof tiles that are not
immediately dangerous
- Communal TV aerial repairs
- Heating and hot water problems
(not a total loss)
- Repairs to faulty door and window

ROUTINE REPAIRS
- General carpentry repairs inside
and outside properties (kitchen units, internal doors,
floor boards etc)
- Repairs to walls paths and fences
- All garage and shed/outhouse repairs
