The Lansdowne Strand Hotel is a Grade 2 listed building, the original Inn dating from 1565. The cobbled courtyard boasts also a medieval brewhouse. Whilst public areas have recently been refurbished, this historic building retains much of its character.

The hotel is situated in Calne, a picturesque market town, and several of the famous ancient carved white horses are to be found in the nearby downs. Calne itself offers excellent road access; being on the main A4 and being a small town, the travel time for the M4 as well as Swindon and North Wiltshire business areas is around twenty minutes.

All bedrooms are spacious and individually decorated, many having beamed ceilings. There is a choice of two bars, the wood paneled pub having a cozy fireplace and a selection of real ales.

Chevals Bistro offers a daily and à la Carte menu, a bar snack menu is also available both for lunch and dinner. Both meeting rooms are on the ground floor and have natural daylight. The hotel is privately owned and managed, guaranteed to offer a warm and attentive service.
